What's been going around lately?
This blog has fallen severely behind lately and it's primarily due to the fact that there is one heck of a bug going around this winter! I've been downsick since the beginning of December and it just never seemed to get better. Two trips to the doctors office and still, I'm sitting here as I write battling a cough that won't go away!
Anyway, here is hoping that your family finds 2007 to be a happy and HEALTHY year. It's going to be a good year for real estate in the Houston/Katy area. Not as good as we have been used to but while the "bubble" has seemed to pop in many places around the country, we are still expecting to see 3-4% increases in home prices. That's fantastic news for buyers and sellers. It means that buyers can still get a deal on a home and that sellers do not have to worry about the prices dropping so fast that they can not afford to get out of their home. In many markets around the country, home prices are dropping so fast that when you go to sell, by the time you do sell, a lot of the equity is gone or in the case of a home you bought just last year, you've gone upside down in it like a car loan!
So 2007 should be a healthy year for our real estate market because we didn't have the explosive growth other places had, we ultimately will benefit from it!
